Creative Assistant - Photo Editing & Creative Support

This is not a traditional graphic designer position. It is a hands-on support role for someone who combines strong administration with practical creative skills and is eager to learn.

BrandIQ is looking for a dependable, detail-focused Creative Assistant to support our Graphics, Sales, Production and Development teams, with most day-to-day responsibilities connected to our digital billboard network. You will work with templates, site information and images, help keep records accurate, and deliver time-sensitive work in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work closely with the photographer and Sales team to provide the necessary photographs in approved templates. • Edit photographs in Adobe Photoshop and prepare clear mock-ups or layouts when required. • Create and update creative and production support documents, ensuring information is accurate, consistent and professionally presented. • Assist with basic plans and layouts, manage files and keep multiple requests moving against tight deadlines. • Provide ad hoc administrative and operational support when needed, including occasional stocktakes and other reasonable duties related to our digital billboard operations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Confidence working in a Windows environment and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite. • Practical Photoshop photo-editing skills - this is essential. • Excellent administration, organisation and file-management skills, with strong attention to detail. • The ability to prioritise, work accurately under pressure and adapt when deadlines or workloads change. • Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to communicate confidently in both languages. • Clear communication, a collaborative attitude and the confidence to ask questions when information is unclear. • A positive attitude and a dedicated, dependable and trustworthy approach to work, with a genuine willingness to learn new systems, processes and creative skills.

AN ADVANTAGE, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, particularly for creating basic plans and layouts. Training can be provided.
